Ken McCaslin | Wednesday, December 7, 2011 | 6:54:26 AM GMT-12:00 | You have a number acronyms in your mission/charter. I have no issue with the use of them, provided that the first time they are used they are spelled regardless how common you use them in your language. You are inconsistent, in some cases you do define the acronym. It needs to be done for all including the first time use use WG. Other non-HL7 users may not understand what they represent and reading your mission and charter should not cause further research to be done in order to understand the content. |
MeadWalker | Monday, December 19, 2011 | 2:50:15 AM GMT-12:00 | While voting affirmative, I would like to align myself with Ken\'s concern. I think spelling out acronyms the first time they appear is an item of good form that all documents of this type should follow. |
Edward Tripp | Monday, December 19, 2011 | 2:24:02 AM GMT-12:00 | Note: Ken McCaslin is a from another Steering Division so his vote will not count officially. However, his comments are valid and should be addressed. |
Jim McKinley | Monday, December 19, 2011 | 10:29:00 AM GMT-12:00 | Support comments surrounding acronyms. |
