Name Date Time Comment
Suzanne Gonzales-Webb Wednesday, February 8, 2012 5:16:31 AM GMT-12:00 Forgive me for being naive, but why are there two separate death reporting CDAs. Is Fetal death vs ‘other’ death that different in the reporting?
Mollie Ullman-Cullere Sunday, February 12, 2012 6:21:16 AM GMT-12:00 This information is valuable. Will the work focus on transmission or tackle coding as well? (I hope coding is included.)

Michelle, This should address the comment. I'll ask Ed Tripp to add the comment to the poll, or better,
eitehr forward this to Suzanne.

Ed, Could we get the two paragraphs set off by asterisks below added to the poll as a comment? Also, if you have
an email address for Suzanne Gonzales-Webb would you please forward this to her? (or is this automatic with the
poll comment?)

Hi John,

Thanks so much for your attempt to contact me regarding the DESD response to the PSS for VR
CDA IGs. I see that the vote passed without a response; however, I thought you may still want to
provide feedback in case this comes up again with the TSC.

I would propose the following response to Suzanne Gonzales-Webb or others who want
clarification:

*****
Information needed to officially record a fetal death in the 57 U.S. vital records jurisdictions is
defined by the U.S. Standard Report of Fetal Death. The project to develop a CDA IG for Birth
and Fetal Death Reporting is based on the requirements for the U.S. Standard Certificate of Live
Birth and the U.S. Standard Report of Fetal Death.

John, Does this address the comment in your opinion or is more needed?
