TSC Activities Visibility Project 2009

Purpose

  • To create visibility and understanding to the activities of the TSC and the CTO.
  • To provide project-based documentation for organizing internal activities.

Objectives

The project intends to:

  • clarify information for the members of the roles and activities of the TSC and CTO
    • Create / Refine Job description for TSC Chair
    • Create/ Refine Job description for TSC Project Manager
    • Review job description for CTO
    • Identify corresponding roles and comparison of responsibilities between CTO, TSC Chair and TSC Project Manager in respect to an overarching Organizational “Technology Plan 2009
  • Set goals for each role with milestones from WGM to WGM and 12-month timeframes, with measurement criteria
  • identify to whom the information is useful
  • track whether the target audience is receiving the information/ describe and implement feedback loops
  • improve underlying TSC workgroup

Deliverables

  1. Reviewed Job description for CTO
  2. Job description for TSC Chair
  3. Job description for TSC Project Manager (see also Objectives)
  4. Documentation of understanding of comparison of responsibilities between CTO, TSC Chair and TSC Project Manager in respect to an overarching Organizational Technology Plan
  5. Goals for each role with milestones from WGM to WGM and 12-month timeframes, with measurement criteria

Success Criteria

  • Target audiences are defined
  • Target audiences are able to obtain the useful/ usable information on products, projects and workgroups
  • Target audiences are able to provide feedback on visibility project
  • Target audiences are able to provide feedback on TSC Activity
  • Feedback is received on visibility project
  • Feedback is received on TSC activity
  • Documents/deliverables are produced:
    1. “feedback loops” are described and implemented,
    2. Job descriptions for TSC Chair, TSC Project Manager, and CTO are published
    3. “Technology Plan” is published clarifying responsibilities between roles of the above job descriptions,
    4. Goals for each role described from WGM to WGM are published
