    • DICOM Supplement 135 (SR Diagnostic Imaging Report Transformation Guide): The supplement has been approved final text by DICOM WG6 in August 2010. The document specifies the transformation of DICOM SR Basic Diagnostic Imaging Reports to CDA R2 and complements the successfully balloted HL7 CDA Diagnostic Imaging Report Implementation Guide.
    • DICOM Supplement 150 (Radiation Dose Summary Information in Radiology Reports): WG20/II is currently preparing the document for DICOM letter ballot. Feedback received in the public comment period was discussed at the October work group meeting in Boston.

      • The Structure Product Labeling Activities Task Group tracks the activities of the SPL, offers suggestions to improve access and usability of the FDA Structured Product Label and Electronic Drug Listings, and monitors the work of the Guiding Coalition for feedback to the WG. This task group met during the WG meeting. They have completed and sent three letters (Inactive Ingredients, Medication Guides/Copyrights, and Overfills) on SPL recommendations to the FDA. One additional recommendation letter regarding the definition of “kits” is in draft and awaiting further research. Four issues have been identified and will be taken to the HL7 SPL Leadership Team/SPL Working Group for discussion. The task group identified more issues that will be discussed on future conference calls of the task group.
      • NCPDP/HL7 Eprescribing Functional Profile Task Group is monitoring the ballots of NCPDP and HL7 on the pharmacist/pharmacy interface functional profile and the standalone profile. See Ballot WG110046 Functional Profile.
      • The EHR/HL7 Task Group has focused on the use of the Structured SIG in the LTCPAC settings. Several examples have been reviewed and feedback has been provided to the WG10 Structured and Codified Sig Task Group. The Task Group also looked at the additional guidance provided by the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) for nurse as an agent and have identified additional questions to submit for clarification.
